We know being able to connect and communicate with the world is the most important thing for a child.

Based in Wilston, Brisbane’s inner north, Cocoon Communication Speech Pathology provides speech therapy services for children with complex communication needs. We provide services for children with little or no speech (non-verbal), autistic children (ASD and autism) and gestalt language processors. We help by evaluating little ones with complex communication needs, finding the best possible Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) possibilities and then tailor that into an individual communication system. At Cocoon Communication we have a special interest in key word sign and PODD communication language systems.
 
Once the optimal communication system is identified we partner together with families and carers to coach all communication partners to work together immersing the child in their new communication system. We delight in creating a safe cocoon for the child to then learn this new communication system, transform their connections to the world around them and ultimately emerge from that cocoon to fly for the rest of their lives.
